Not Enuf for da’ City

by on July 19, 2013

With apologies to Stevie Wonder. Dedicated to Detroit.

A boy puts on a presidential jacket,
(ill-fitting). He runs D.C. like a racket.
Sir Holder runs soft cover for Benghazi;
Obamacare will death-panel yr monmmie!

Wasn’t quite enuf, quite enuf for da’ city.

Fast, furious: a scheme to take our weapons.
Although it fails, he doesn’t learn his lesson.
He’ll try again. He’ll close his eyes & “will” it.
No patriot will yield a single bullet.

Wasn’t quite enuf, quite enuf for da’ city.

To immigrate, means going through a process:
No shortcuts! (who, can know what that’ll cost us?)
He peddles ‘Race’  to illegal Hispanics.
While the rest of us are in an awful panic.

Wasn’t quite enuf, quite enuf for da’ city.

La-la-la, laa, la-la lum, la-de-da, de-da, de-dum.
La-la-la-la-la-la lum, la-a-a-a-a-a uhm

His woman tries to define what we’re eatin’.
School children cry: “Your giving us a beatin'”
The jobless rate-bell sure ’nuff keeps on ringin’
(while she takes their girls to see Beyonce singin’)

Wasn’t quite enuf, quite enuf for da’ city.

Our Constitution’s not there just to bore us.
To the U.N. he tries to pimp & whore us.
He tries to say that his way’s an improvement.
But the details smell just like a bad bowel movement.

Wasn’t quite enuf, quite enuf for da’ city.

The boy’s a fool, some even say an “id-i-ot”.
His policies, tossed ’bout like someone wingin’ it.
His racist quips are proffered to “soul-search” us.
But everybody knows, it’s one damned Marxist circus!

And it’s never quite enuf, quite enuf for da’ city.
No it’s never quite enuf, quite enuf for da’ city.
Livin’? Not enuf fo’ da’ city
Livin? Not enuf fo’ da’ city.
